What We Do

Ways and Means

Ways and Means is the fundraising body of Women’s International Club (WIC). Its responsibility is to organize events in order to fulfill the aims of WIC for the social improvement. Apart from that, W/M also conducts the fundraising events for the purpose to sustain the general fund, when necessary.

Its major fundraising event is the WIC Annual Charity Bazaar which is usually held around the end of a year. The bazaar organising committee is to be organized under the leadership of Ways and Means.

The first bazaar was held in 1968 when Mrs. Pia Alisjahbana was President. A fundraising committee was appointed to be responsible for any fundraising activities. On 5 December 1968, the first WIC Annual Charity Bazaar was held in Jakarta.

Every year a Provincial Government is proposed to be the sponsor of the Opening Ceremony with a specific theme determined by the relevant Province.

The goal of the big fundraising event is to contribute the bazaar profit to the recipients in need for our social causes.
